Services Agreement

  • Agreement Overview

This document outlines the terms and conditions of the agreement between clients of Pillar of Paws and Pillar of Paws.

Pillar of Paws will endeavour to create a safe and supportive environment for the training of your dog and will provide training services and guidance that are ethical, humane and aligned with positive-reinforcement and fear-free practices.

Pillar of Paws will make every reasonable effort to support the Client in working toward training and behaviour modification goals. However, due to the nature of animal behaviour, no guarantee is made regarding the dog's performance or behaviour as a result of professional training or consultation.

The Client understands that successful outcomes depend on consistency and participation. This includes following training recommendations as provided, practising skills as advised and reinforcing learning in everyday life.

  • Cancellation Policy

A minimum of 24 hours notice is required for all cancellations or rescheduling.

If the Client fails to provide sufficient notice or is not present at the time of the scheduled appointment, the session fee remains payable.

For package bookings, the missed session will be deducted from the package.

  • Media & Photo Consent

The Client consents to Pillar of Paws using photographs, videos and recordings of the Client and/or their dog taken during services for lawful purposes, including education, marketing, website content and social media.

If the Client prefers their dog not be featured publicly, this can be discussed at any time.

  • Termination of Services

Pillar of Paws reserves the right to terminate services at its discretion if:

  • The dog is deemed unsafe or poses a risk to people or other animals

  • The dog's behaviour significantly interferes with the training environment

  • The Client breaches the terms of this agreement

In such cases, Pillar of Paws' obligations under this agreement will cease.

  • Package Expiry Policy

All training packages must be used within the following timeframes from the date of purchase:

PRIVATE TRAINING PACKAGE

Valid for 10 weeks

WALK & TRAIN PACKAGE

Valid for 12 weeks

Unused sessions that fall outside these timeframes will expire and cannot be refunded, extended or transferred.

Clients are responsible for booking sessions within the valid period. Availability cannot be guaranteed for last-minute bookings, so advance scheduling is recommended.

If extenuating circumstances arise, please contact Pillar of Paws as soon as possible to discuss available options.

  • Travel Fee Policy

To support service delivery across the Northern Beaches, a travel fee may apply for locations outside Pillar of Paws' standard service area.

Travel fees are based on distance and may include tolls where applicable. All travel fees will be discussed and confirmed prior to our appointment to ensure transparency.

  • Liability Waiver

By engaging in training services with Pillar of Paws, the Client acknowledges that they are voluntarily participating in dog training activities.

Pillar of Paws will take reasonable care and precautions to maintain safety during sessions. However, dogs are animals and behaviour can be unpredictable. Not all risks can be eliminated.

The Client accepts full responsibility for themselves, their dog and any accompanying persons. The Client agrees to release and hold harmless Pillar of Paws and authorised representatives from any claims, losses, damages or injuries arising from participation in training services or from the actions of the Client's dog.

This includes, but is not limited to, injury to people, animals or property during or following training sessions.
